Notes:
A Good copy in black cloth with the gold lettering bright. Lacks the blank endpapers. Narrow damping visible in the margins of the plates. The title page had worked loose and has been tipped back in, but is edge-worn at the outer margin. At its top edge margin is written 'Read and circulate'. The binding is sound and the text is clean. A brief handwritten note signed by Stanton's daughter, suffragette Harriot Stanton Blatch, is tipped onto the verso of the frontispiece. Blatch has also written inside the front cover 'To Anna Le Cowhe (?) Brooks Snow from', and Elizabeth Cady Stanton has boldly signed the book vertically along the outer edge of the inner front cover. (The note from Blatch is to Snow.)
